It’s always a useful task to put some perspective onto the rate of technological change over the last decade or two. I have talked about Generation “Y” and the millenials in earlier editorials, with the video of the toddler using an iPad with ease, but being dumbfounded by a magazine, illustrating perfectly how the children of the internet age are true digital natives. What’s really interesting to look into is the way the new ‘totally mobile’ generation are using the internet, social media and connectivity in different ways to the rest of us.

Americans don't know much about Chechnya. The most recent conflict rekindled around the time Putin and the FSB was given power in Russia at the end of 1999 and beginning of 2000, and lasted until around 2007. Unlike the Chechen war in the 90's, this was not simply a nationalistic insurgency, but had a strong element of international political islam.

They’re stealing copper wiring from streetlights, stripping it from electrical substations, and burrowing into the ground for it as if mining precious metal. Always a problem, metal scavengers have become more brazen in the economic downturn, authorities said, sometimes endangering public safety across Georgia and even in thea USA: Philadelphia and South Jersey.

There is a great opportunity for the new government in terms of how they view information. The old way to view information was the more information I have that nobody else has, the more successful I am. The new way is that the more effective and precise the information I can get to people, the more successful I am. For Georgia, the change from the first to the second is taking too long.

Talk about first impressions; telephone greetings are critical. I’ve heard many times complaints from foreigners visiting Tbilisi that home phones are kind of wild in terms of answering etiquette. As there are few answering machines installed on the city home phone lines. Home phones are unanswered, messages are lost. Answering machine culture is a part of reality in the USA, UK, Canada and Germany.

There is a question about governments, particularly about the new Georigan government. Can it create and enforce rules to make peoples lives better? The former government had somewhat of a philosophical conviction that government regulation was by its nature a bad thing; that governments stood in the way of people living their lives and conducting their business, because of this, Georgia has less regulation than in almost any country in the world.

I don’t read much news normally. I am the opposite of Jamal, character on a rather spectacularly popular TV show My Wife’s Girlfriends, who is glued to the TV, listening to the news of each and every day. I do read a little bit from time to time, to hear the latest gossip, to keep up with bizarre developments, latest one being depriving the defendant of a right to speedy trial, but overall I just do it to keep from looking like an idiot when people talk to me about politics.

In some countries, like France, having your wifi network (adsl router, etc) unprotected is illegal. But it is generally good practice to always have your network protected.

When it comes to home appliances, few things are as important as the kitchen gas range. Gas ranges offer several advantages over electric ovens, including faster heating times. If trying to choose which gas range to purchase had you stressed, stop worrying. Kitchen range and home appliance experts have highlighted some of the most important things to look for in a good gas range one of them is horizontal glass surface holding burners and iron-casted frame for frying pans and kettle along with normal pans. The market leaders here are Ariston (Italy) and Gefest (Belarus) glass line model, accumulating heat.
