Welcome to the April 18th Weekly Summary with Mark Mullen. This week Mark reviews the main topic of the week. He speaks about the statement released by former Head of the Department for Constitutional Security Data Akhalaia in which he blames former Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili for the country’s misfortunes. Merabishvili responded to the accusations and connected the statement to the April 19th demonstration.
Mark Mullen discusses Rustavi 2’s talk show “Pozitsia” which hosted Mikheil Saakashvili. He discussed his concerns about independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. Mark also mentions Ivanishvili’s comment that Georgia’s Independence Day on May 26th will not be celebrated with a military parade.
