On 11 October, at the restaurant “Gujari” located in Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia, the reception was held to host the Kazakh bloggers, who decided to meet their Georgian counterparts and learn more about Georgia. There are some other countries on their list too, but as the luck has it, our homeland topped the list.

Public representatives address Thomas Hammarberg…
Public representatives sent an open letter to Thomas Hammarberg, advisor to the Georgian Government in legal issues, In the letter published in “Kviris Palitra” newspaper they say the appeal is about the part of the report on human rights in Georgia by Hammarberg, where the human rights advocate speaks about the rights of propaganda of sexual perversity.

Believe it or not, he has traveled all around the world by bicycle for five times. The French call him “King of Travelers”, Germans baptized him as “Picasso of travelers”, Russians refer to him as “Small Schwarzenegger”, Norwegians and Swedes - “Man – Legend”, and so on and so forth.

Among the highland traditions, one of the most interesting and diverse is “Stsorproba” of Khevsurs. It has no analogue among other people of the Caucasus. With slight variations, it was also upheld in the neighboring Pshavi region, where it is called “Tsatsloba” in reference to Tsatsali, a person who takes part in it.

On September 9, the Embassy of Brazil celebrated 191th anniversary of the Independence of Brazil in Krtsanisi Residence Complex. Representatives of state organizations, Parliament Speaker David Usupashili, Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania, also ambassadors of various countries attended the event. The official part of the event started with the national anthems of Brazil and Georgia.

We live in the age of globalization that logically leads us to mixed families. It is none of our business to judge which is better – to marry your compatriot or a foreigner. Most probably, the best way is to marry love and luck at the same time. However, there are people who might be asked what it is like to be a pair of the mixed couple. One of them is Anthony Schierman, American-born man, who currently works for the American Academy in Tbilisi as a teacher of the English Literature and Language, and Nino Stavridi, Georgian-born lady, who works for the Eurasia Foundation. Batumi mayor Jemal Ananidze visited Batumi Boulevard, damaged by storm. Boulevard infrastructure and pedestrian paths are damaged. Clearing-up operations are under way to deal with storm damage. “Storm still continues. Batumi sea side has been mainly damaged. Cafes and restaurants near the sea side were seriously damaged. As for Boulevard infrastructure, street illumination system, chairs and paths were damaged. Sea washed the bottom of the pedestrian paths and seriously damaged them”, Jemal Ananidze said.
