Welcome to the February 7 Weekly Summary with Mark Mullen. This week Mark discusses how the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili held a press conference to discuss the first 100 days in the government. Ivanishvili said that he doesn’t support Irakli Alasania as a candidate for President. The Prime Minister also spoke about Alasania’s trip to Dubai and other topics. Vano Merabishvili responded Ivanishvili’s press conference and criticized him.
Mark Mullen reviews the debates in Parliament about reducing the authority of the President. He mentions the UNM MP Tariel Londaridze, who accused Ivanishvili of putting pressure on him and his family. Mark also discusses that Davit Saganelidze accused the Free Democrats of having UNM plants in the party. In addition, Irakli Gharibashvili discovered audio tapes showing the private life of famous people.
