The German airline has cancelled the majority of its flights across the country. Union representatives are calling for a 5.2 per cent rise having rejected a management offer of between 0.4 - to 0.6 per cent, Euronews reports.
Tbilisi International Airport cancelled Munich flight due to a Lufthansa strike, InterPressNews agency was informed by Tbilisi International Airport’s press service.
“Lufthansa flight arrived from Munich to Tbilisi at its designated time, 03;22, though could not fly back as the flight that was to take off at 04:00 didn’t take place due to the airline employees’ strike called internationally”, the press service told InterPressNews.
They inform that the airline offered passengers to exchange tickets to different airlines and some of them accepted.
“Some of the passengers departed to Munich via alternative flights”, the airport informs.
Lufthansa performs Munich-Tbilisi and Tbilisi-Munich flights at dawn. As the airline staff called a one-day strike, the airport presumes that tomorrow morning, the flights will operate as usual.
