Three days in Latvian Jurmala, on the stage of the concert hall "Dzintari" young performers showed the audience and the jury their vocal talents. On the first day, they performed the world hit, the second - a hit of their countries, and the third - a song written especially for the competition. In total, the "New Wave" this year was attended by 16 singers from 12 countries.
Having heard performance of Cuban Roberto Kel Torres, already in the first day of the contest began predict him victory. And not in vain. He won the main prize of the contest of young singers of popular music "New Wave 2013" with 256 points. The second place was taken by a young singer from Georgia Salome Katamadze with only one point less. Third place went to the contestant from Vietnam Vinh Khuat with 254 points.
The prize fund of the Contest is was € 100 000, € 50 000 of which went to the winner, € 30 000 to the second place and € 20 000 to the third place.
