Tbilisi Alexander Griboedov State Russian Theatre was packed for the concert of famous Russian singer Andrey Makarevich. Soloist of the band “Mashina Vremeni” traveled to Georgia after receiving an invitation by The Russian Club and performed jazz versions of famous songs. He was accompanied by Eter Beriashvili – a Georgian singer performing in Moscow - and a jazz band.
The concert had faced the threat of being postponed after harsh weather conditions in Moscow caused flight delays. Makarevich said a Georgian individual living in Moscow had provided a bus to bring the musicians from the Domodedovo Airport to Sheremetyevo, from which they embarked on a flight to Tbilisi as soon as it was restored. The concert in Tbilisi began at 11 PM instead of 9 PM as planned. The audience in Griboedov Theatre included listeners from Kutaisi, Batumi and Zugdidi, while Makarevich spoke about his love for the Georgian audience and the country following the 2-hour show.
