Tbilisi Concert Hall hosted a charity concert to mark the 35th anniversary of opera singer Paata Burtchuladze’s stage career. Burtchuladze performed arias from famous operas, while his evening also featured St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Yuri Temirkanov. The orchestra performed Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5 and excerpts from well-known compositions.
The two hour-long concert was attended by numerous celebrities, while compositions performed during the evening had the audience on their feet.
The concert was concluded by Burtchuladze’s Iavnana Charity Fund handing over keys to apartments for four large families. The fund has presented apartments to eighty families to date.
