Batumi botanical garden, located 8 km away from the seaside city, marks 100th anniversary. It was founded by a professor from Kharkov University Andrei Krasnov. Rare species of exotic plants are preserved in the botanical garden.

Several people remain in critical condition after a car crash in Tskaltubo district. An Opel and a truck crashed into each other on the Kutaisi-Zugdidi highway. Four passengers were seriously injured. They were taken to hospital. Three of them are on life support., the Rustavi2 channel reports.

Georgian rescue workers managed to save Polish climbers on mount Shkhara. The operation was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Rescue Municipal Service of Mestia. The climbers’ health condition is normal.
