The officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi first unit detained Ushangi T. (DOB 1993) for damaging the building of the mentioned police station and wounding the police officer.
Late at night on August 2, 2013 the aforementioned person, armed with a hand grenade, entered police station located in Gldani settlement. As a result of hand grenade activation one police officer received minor injuries in leg area and the building was damaged.
Wounded police officer was rendered first aid at the hospital. At this moment he has been discharged from the treating facility.
According to preliminary results of investigation Ushangi T. was under the alcohol influence. It was also established that detainee had been previously convicted for robbery.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation was launched on the fact of the attempted murder in aggravating circumstances and on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of explosive devices.
