Still images from a film of Marilyn Monroe thought to be long lost by its maker are now on display at an exhibit in New York.
James Danziger owns the Danziger Gallery, where the photos are on display.
In 1955 a 15-year-old boy named Peter Mangone skipped school to try and catch a glimpse of his platinum blonde movie star idol. She was staying at the Gladstone Hotel on 52nd Street in New York City after her divorce from Joe DiMaggio.
One morning, Marilyn spotted her admirer, holding an 8 millimeter camera, and to his surprise, invited Mangone to film her on a shopping trip.
Peter thought he lost the film, but decades later, his brother found it in their father's house, a film that shows a carefree Marilyn Monroe.
Peter Mangone passed away recently, but his work remains to shed a different light on the iconic actress.
