Quick payment companies say adding commission fees is related to ‘expenses’
01 April, 2013
"Quick payment service, carried out by TBC Pay is related to some expenses", Maia Dzirkvelashvili, head of the public relations service of the TBC Bank, told InterpressNews.
‘TBC Pay defined the commission fee at 4%. Commission fees existed earlier too, but mobile companies had been paying the fees themselves in order to popularize the service’, Maia Dzirkvelishvili said.
According to her, despite the fact that hence customers and not mobile companies will have to pay the commission fees, it will be difficult for them to decrease the fee.
‘It will not be pleasant for customers, of course, but they can use alternative means for paying mobile phone accounts’, Dzirkvelishvili said.
Another company Nova Technology says the above-mentioned decision was made by mobile companies. ‘The change was carried out not by us. The mobile companies refused to pay commission fees for customers’.
Customers will presumably have to pay 4 % commission fee on paying mobile phone accounts. No official statement has been made yet about the above-mentioned. The commission fees are defined by each quick payment company individually.
Customers will still be able to pay mobile phone accounts through alternative means without paying commission fees – cards, operator service centers and operator websites.
